Welcome to the Kind Hands Massage Stories and Songs Instructor Programme.

 

Kind Hands offers activities for children in their early years and their parents and carers, utilizing massage stories and nurturing touch through nursery rhymes and songs. The Kind Hands Massage Stories and Songs program provides instructors with tools to assist parents and educators in creating massage stories and songs tailored to the needs of children aged 2 to 6.

 

The program aims to promote children's development through play, instil specific values, and help parents and educators enhance communication and language with children by offering nurturing massages that provide physical and emotional benefits.

 

 

Join our program to be a certified Kind Hands Instructor from the UK.

Kind Hands Massage Stories and Songs Instructor Programme

Date:  November 7 & 14, 2024

Duration: 8hours
Time:  1:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Venue: 14 Scotts Road, Far East Plaza #04-13 Singapore 228213

Mode: Physical training in English

Fees: $299 per person (U.P$380)

The training fee includes the Kind Hands Instructor Manual and Resources book and Kind Hands downloadable resources. Light refreshments will be provided during the training. Please register by filling out the Google form. If you have any inquiries, What's App 8806 0138.

Who is the course for?

Kind Hands instructors primarily include adults from education, health, and social care who are concerned with the well-being of children aged 2 - 6 and their parents, including those with special or complex needs.

Our courses are initially available online for individuals and staff teams. This 8-hour live-streaming instructor training equips participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to teach the positive touch techniques of Kind Hands through play.

 

What is the ethos of the Kind Hands program?

The ethos of the Kind Hands program prioritises responsibility and choice. It covers theoretical and practical aspects to ensure instructors are confident and skilled in their activities. Instructors can utilize the program in children's organizations and at home, working with groups and individual families and networking with others to exchange ideas and experiences.

 

What is the course content? 

The course content covers the role of play and kinaesthetic learning, the significance of touch, causes and effects of stress in children and parents, using touch to calm children, creating massage stories, program implementation, working with parents, children with special needs, health and safety, child protection, and evaluation.

It is to be used with staff and parents. Many positive touch activities are available for children in children’s organisations and with parents at home. You can download the documents and print individual pages or the whole document.  Instructors are updated with research and studies that support their work. Course fees include training and resources.  There are no additional costs involved in open training.

Kind Hands Massage Stories and Songs
Trainer -Shillina Phua

Shillina is a former aesthetic trainer with extensive beauty and spa experience.  She holds several beauty certifications from the UK and Switzerland.  Shillina was certified as an Infant Massage Instructor (IAIM) in 2004 and a Massage in Schools Programme (MISP) Instructor in 2005.

​

As an experienced trainer, she has been delivering workshops and trainings in Singapore to families with babies, children and the elderly within the community.  Shillina is an IMPACT Workplace Wellbeing instructor and Kind Hands instructor and joins the team as a Trainer for IMPACT Workplace Wellbeing Programme.

Trainer - Amy Zhang

Ms Amy Zhang is a dedicated entrepreneur and parenting educator known for her expertise in maternity and baby care. Her vision drives her to empower families to have a fulfilling and joyful parenting journey, achieved through specialized education, professional training, and high-quality products.

 

She has been a certified infant massage instructor since 2006, a Massage in-school program instructor in 2013, a Mini MISP program instructor, and a certified holistic massage therapist by ITEC. She conducts training in Kind Hands Massage Stories and Songs in Singapore and China. Amy shares her vast knowledge and loves connecting with more people who are passionate about nurturing touch.
